BioGuard SoftSwim A is a highly effective algaecide that provides broad-spectrum protection against algae. As the first step in the SoftSwim program, SoftSwim A acts as a crucial defense against algae growth, inhibiting and controlling it. With its unique formulation, SoftSwim A withstands evaporation from direct sunlight and works harder in high temperatures, making it an ideal algaecide for warm-weather climates. Its use on a regular basis also supports the effectiveness of other SoftSwim products. SoftSwim A can be used weekly or every two weeks to keep your pool crystal clear and algae-free.

Dosage Directions:

• 32 oz per 25,000 gallons of water
• Weekly: 1 oz per 5,000 gallons of water
• Bi-Weekly: 2 oz per 10,000 gallons of water

Pools with Visible Algae:

• Use 13.5 oz per 10,000 gallons of water
• After 24 hours, clean out dead, settled algae
• If algae is still present, repeat dosage if necessary

Pools without Visible Algae:

• Initial application: Add 1.5 oz per 10,000 gallons of water every 5-7 days
• Booster application: Add 1.5 oz per 10,000 gallons of water when bather load is heavy or after prolonged rainfall
• To close pool: Add 10.5 oz per 10,000 gallons of water along the pool edges and allow filter and pump to operate for 2-4 hours. This will provide 4 ppm active ingredient to water. This will control algae growth over the winter months and make for easier clean-up in the Spring.
