Dolphin Robotic Cleaners Basic Setup Guide
Cleaner Setup
- Unwind the floating cable and stretch it out completely so that it has no kinks
- Some models may arrive with plastic coverings on the brushes. Please Remove them before use
Power Supply
- Position the power supply so that it is in the approximate middle of the long side of the pool at a distance of 3.5m (12ft) from the edge of the pool
- Attach the floating cable to the power supply by inserting it with the notch on the connector (1) lined up with the groove in the socket on the power supply and turning clockwise
- Plug in the power supply and leave it in the OFF position
Place the Cleaner In The Pool
- Make sure that the floating cable is free of any obstructions
- Release the Pool Cleaner and let it sink to the floor of the pool
- To avoid kinks in the floating cable, place just enough cable in the water for the Pool Cleaner to reach the farthest corner of the pool
- Turn the power supply ON
- The Pool Cleaner will now operate until it has reached the end of the cleaning cycle
Removing The Pool Cleaner From The Pool
- Turn off and unplug the power supply
- Using the floating cable, pull the robot to the edge of the pool
- Grab the handle and remove the robot from the water – DO NOT PULL THE ROBOT OUT OF THE POOL USING THE CABLE
- Place the Pool Cleaner on the edge of the pool and let the water drain out
Helpful Hints
- When working, the Power Supply should be placed in the shade.
- Caution – Do not use an extension cable in any case whatsoever.
- If the Dolphin is fitted with combined or wonder brushes, gently squeeze the brushes until they are soaked with water.
- Release minimal required floating cable length to ensure proper pool coverage. Leave excess cable rolled outside the pool.
- After each cleaning cycle take the Dolphin out of the water to prevent accelerated wear and tear on its plastic parts.
- After each cleaning cycle wash the filter bag or cartridge. Clogged filter bags reduce scanning and cleaning efficiency. Once every two months, wash the filter bag in a washing machine, using a regular synthetic cycle.
- If your Dolphin is equipped with wonder brushes, rinse them in running water.
- For optimal operation, the water- temperature, pH, and chlorine levels should conform to the levels listed below:
If any of these levels are different to those listed in the user instructions for your cleaner, please adhere to the levels noted here - Temperature: 6℃ – 34℃ (43℉ – 93℉)
- pH level: 7.0-7.8
- Chlorine level: Max 4 ppm / NaCl 5000 ppm
- Once a week unplug the cable from the power supply, unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave it in the sun for several hours.
- Store the pool cleaner in a shady place it’s Caddy. If you don’t have a caddy, place the pool cleaner upside down.
