Directions:

Spa Start Up or Recently Drained:

1. Thoroughly clean all surfaces and backflush or cleanse the filter. Achieve chemical balance by adjusting calcium hardness and total alkalinity while treating for metals like iron, copper, and manganese. Ensure pH falls between 7.2 to 7.8.
2. For every 300 gallons of water in the spa or hot tub, add 7.5 grams (1 1/2 teaspoons) of this product while the circulation system is running. Measure bromine levels after 15 minutes. Repeat the process until achieving an active bromine concentration of 2 to 4 ppm in residential spas. Adjust dosage if factors like organic debris or heavy bather usage affect the need.
3. Regularly monitor bromine levels using test strips. Keep cyanuric acid levels below 100 ppm. It’s recommended to drain spas and hot tubs every 30 to 90 days, especially during heavy usage periods.

Shock Treatment:

1. Water soluble, non-filterable wastes can accumulate in spa or hot tub water and cause dull or cloudy water and can simulate algae growth. Superoxidation or superchlorination with a suitable oxidizing shock treatment must be done on a regular basis to remove these wastes and maintain clear sparkling water.
2. Add 30 grams (6 teaspoons) of this product per 300 gallons of water directly to the spa or hot tub with circulation system on.
